Most of us do not think of Jesus 24 hours a day. Because we do not (and often cannot) think of Jesus 24 hours a day, we tend to believe that Jesus does not (or cannot) think of us 24 hours a day. It is a sad tendency of us to casually bring Jesus down to our level and have a distorted understanding of what Jesus does or does not do.

Lest we forget that Jesus is not only the Son of God but also God himself as a member of the Triune God, we should have a firm belief that Jesus is sovereign, along and together with the other members of the Trinity. This means that Jesus, who resides in us through the Holy Spirit, is all powerful (omnipotent), all knowing (omniscient) and all present (omnipresent).

This omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent Jesus has specifically taken a place within our hearts and is ready to teach us. We are so accustomed to think of Jesus as the savior and the Lord that we rarely think of him as a teacher. But Jesus urges us to LEARN from him (Mat 11:29). And he is willing to teach us 24 hours a day. The problem is that Jesus is not a stern and overbearing teacher; he does not force us to learn. Rather, he is gentle and humble, and he usually waits patiently for us to open our hearts to him and learn from him.

What do we learn from him? We learn the life in the kingdom of God, the kingdom that is already here as well as the kingdom that will come in the future. As we follow Jesus and learn from Jesus, we begin to know God more, especially his character. We also learn how God rules and reigns over his creations through the intimate and interactive relationships. Through this training (discipleship), we gradually become mature Christians who are suitable to live and reign with Jesus eternally (Rev 22:5). This mind-boggling opportunity to learn from the creator of the universe is available to us 24 hours a day -- by grace of God.
